Polarity Therapy - A
holistic system of healing developed by Dr. Randolph Stone based on the
synthesis of Chiropractic, Ayurvedic and several other disciplines with the
concepts of Einsteinian physics that recognized the dynamic relationship between
energy and matter (E=MC2).
The concept is applied by
manipulating the energy fields of matter (in humans specifically) through touch,
thought, food and exercise. When the correct flow and balance of energy is
restored, the physical aspects of the person follow and lead to better
health.
Polarity bodywork sessions are typically done while a person in fully clothed
and can either be done as a full session lasting from 30 minutes to 2 hours, or
as short individual techniques for relieving stress, indigestion, fatigue and a
number of other symptoms. This makes it particularly well suited for being
performed in a larger number of circumstances or with a broader cross section of
the population than Massage.
The additional holistic aspects of energetic nutrition, exercises and thought
can also be utilized in a wide variety of settings including all the helping
professions, coaching, and management to name a few.
As a new modality it is still not widely known and provides a progressive
step for both clients and students. As massage gains popularity and there are an
increasing number of practitioners and schools that offer it, having a new and
emerging touch technology becomes an important part of any long term strategy
for success.
